TTCC Appoints Julian Wood as Head Coach for 2025 Season

Thame Town Cricket Club (TTCC) are delighted to announce the appointment of Julian Wood to the position of Head Coach for the upcoming 2025 cricket season.

Julian is an ex-1st class professional cricketer with Hampshire and is currently a successful coach at international level. Currently coaching with the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he has previously coached with the Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League. He will join Thame in May at the end of the PSL tournament.

As well as advising on the development of the overall coaching plan, Julian will specifically coach both the Men’s and Women’s 1st XI, as-well as the Under-15 to U18s squads in the Junior section. He will work hand-in-hand with the club’s talented group of juniors as they develop into Adult cricket.

Thame Town Cricket Club Chairman Tim Dabbs commented:

‘Julian joining Thame as Head Coach is a huge step forward for the club in supporting our aspirations for success. Our aim is to attract the best local and regional talent to Thame and provide the best opportunity for our existing players to excel and succeed as best they can. Julian can certainly help us achieve this goal. Julian is a big name in the modern development of coaching and, as such, we are very much looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together this season!’
