It was a great morning for cricket at Church Meadow on Sunday 16th. TTCC U11s were put into bat in their pairs game and found it hard going, with some very good bowling from Goring. Dylan top scored, with runs from Ryan, Brody & Teddy.
Thame fielded second with a low total to defend. They couldn’t get the wickets they needed to stem the flow, coming out second best. However wickets from Bertie, Oliver, Ryan and a great two overs from Clement, only one run conceded and a run out.
This week it was a glorious sunny morning at The Meadows Thame CC. Thame put Wolvercote into bat and fielded excellently as a team with great spirit. Wickets came from Rory E, Rory I, Ryan, Dylan, Charlie O & several catches from Rory E kept the score to 283. Charlie O bowled 2 overs for 5 runs and 1 wicket.
In reply, Rory E opened the scoring with 30 and Dylan batting middle of the order with a season high of 25. Everyone else played a brilliant supporting role, with Thame just edging it to win by 6 runs.Very good sporting game from both sides.
