Sunday (27th April) marked the first U11 Junior game of 2025, with a friendly inter-club match bringing together a mixed team (60/40 split). It was played in great spirits, with 10 players experiencing hardball cricket for the first time.
With a big crowd of family and friends enjoying the sunshine and lively atmosphere at Church Meadow, the 10-a-side pairs match saw Team A post 263–5 from their 20 overs. Team B fought hard, needing 34 runs from the final 24 balls, but a tight finish saw them end just four runs short at 259–7.
It was a fantastic way to kick off the season, and it was great to see the kids enjoying their cricket. We’re excited to watch them keep growing and having fun throughout the year.
