Congratulations go to Luke Hayes of Lord Williams’s School and Thame Town Cricket Club who, at the age of 17 has been selected to represent the MCC Schools against the English Schools Cricket Association (ESCA) at Lord’s cricket ground on Friday 8 September.
Luke is a product of Barley Hill primary school and has graduated rapidly through the junior section of TTCC, starting in the Under 9s section. He is the first Thame player to play at Lord’s since long-standing club captain, Mike Beard represented the ESCA.
Thame Men’s 1st XI finished their league season on Saturday with a win at Horspath. Luke had a starring role in the Home Counties Premier League Division 2 campaign, scoring 388 runs and taking 14 wickets.
