Thame hosted Oxford on Sunday, in a top of the table clash. Thame lost the toss and were put into bat, putting up a fighting 278 for the loss of only 3 wickets. It was hard going for the top 6 against a very good bowling attack, with runs hard to come by. Valuable runs came at the end from Charlie S, Charlie C, Oliver and Rory.
In reply, Thame got off to a great start, with a flurry of early wickets from Charlie S and Noah B and further wickets from Oliver and Ryan. Thame put on a brilliant team display taking 11 wickets in total, however an unbelievable second pair partnership of over 50 saw Oxford squeeze over the line.
A brilliant season from the U11s, winning 9 of their 16 league matches, giving them the highest win rate of any of the teams at the club with a lot of very good players emerging, making a bright future for TTCC.
