Sunday 28th May – Away to Horspath
Thame Under 11s had a good win away at Horspath. The home side scoring 71 for 5 off their 16 overs. There were 2 wickets for Charlie Stewart plus a wicket and run out for Dylan Constant. Thame scored 73-3 off 12 overs with Daniel Tilley 27 retired and Lewis Yeung 13 not out. A good performance by all.
Sunday 4th June 2023 – U11s Oxfordshire league match against Oxford
The U11 team travelled to Oxford on Sunday morning for a 10-aside pairs match.
Thame batted first and accumulated a decent score of 273-7 with Ryan, Charlie, and Stan all reaching double figures and Fred, Jack, Clement and Dylan all getting off the mark. Thame felt that they lost 2 or 3 more wickets than they should have done from run outs and getting out bowled from a few flamboyant shots across the line! (some focus required in this Thursday’s coaching session)
In response, Oxford batted well throughout the order but Thame chipped away with wickets at regular intervals. 3 wickets for Charlie. 2 for Mukil, 1 for Dylan and Rory and a run out from Tobias but Oxford just clinched it on 279-8.
Stan captained the team very well and created an environment of energy and fun from the start. Well done to all for supporting each other and playing as a team. Next Sunday the pairs match is at Home to Wolverton and the 11-aside is away to Tiddington.
