U11s Roundup 4 – Sunny Sunday Action for our 2 Teams!

Thame U11s hosted Oxford at the Church Meadow on a bright summer morning. Winning the toss, Thame elected to field first and started strongly with Oxford struggling to 204/4 after 5 overs. The remaining pairs batted superbly, losing only one more wicket and setting a target of 287.

In reply Thame started much the same as Oxford and were 209/3 after 5 overs, and despite not losing another wicket until the final over struggled to get some good bowling away finishing on 259/4.

Another Thame U11s side played away at Horspath on a very Sunny morning. Thame fielded first and kept the hosts to a respectable target of 259 – there were wickets from Dylan, Rory, Jake and a great performance from Noah B, with figures of 2-5 and a catch. In reply, Thame couldn’t get used to the slow pitch and very good bowling, finishing on 221.
