On Saturday 7th August we held the annual Vice Presidents lunch on the first floor of the pavilion, which was a great success.
20 vice presidents and partners were treated to lunch, as a thankyou for their continued support of the club. The 2 course lunch was beautifully prepared by Sheena and Emma Beard, and hosted by Matt Swain.
Amongst a long list of club celebrities was Ken White in his second appearance at the event along with Ken and Prim Patey, Barry and Andrea Yates, Mr & Mrs Shewry, Dave Garrett, John Hussey, Paul Winson, Arthur Swain, Spence, and Peter Beard who was celebrating his 91st Birthday. It was a fantastic way to allow old friends to meet up and see how each other were getting on.
After the lunch, the day was perfectly finished off with a resounding win over Buckingham Town CC. Well done to the 1st XI – same again next week please!
