Junior Cricket

Due to COVID-19, the  Junior cricket season and Memberships will be running differently this year.

If you would like to enquire about membership of the Junior section, please contact Sheena Beard on juniors@thamecricket.org.uk or 01844 213695.

The club runs 5 age-groups of girls and boys – All Stars Cricket (aged 5-8), Under 9s, Under 11s, Under 13s and Under 15s. Any Under 15 and 17 players are invited to Men’s training on Tuesdays at 6pm, and can play for our 4 Men’s teams, while girls are encouraged to get involved with our Women’s team on Thursdays.

During the Spring and Summer of 2020, coaching for these groups takes place on the below evenings – these session will start on Tuesday 14th April, at Church Meadow:

  • U9s – Mondays 6.15 – 7.30pm
  • U11s – Thursdays 6.30 – 8pm
  • U13s – Wednesdays 6.30 – 8pm
  • U15s – Tuesdays 6 – 7.15pm

The club’s Junior section has been a highly-successful breeding ground for cricketers at all levels of the club – witness the fact that in the 2015 1st XI squad that won the Cherwell League 1st Division and thereby promotion, 11 of the 16 in the squad had come through the ranks from the U9s and U11s.

If you would like to enquire about membership of the Junior section, please contact Sheena Beard on juniors@thamecricket.org.uk or 01844 213695.
