2nd Summer Ball a big success for the club

On Saturday 2nd July, Church Meadow rocked to the sound of the excellent local band “OX9”, as the 2nd club Summer Ball got under way under a 220 square metre marquee outside the clubhouse. The walls and tables were bedecked with the weird and wonderful scenes and colours of various Olympic countries.

The feedback has been really positive from all the guests and plans are taking shape already for the 3rd Ball next year. The raffle and auction made a great contribution to the fundraising for a new clubhouse, due to be built in the Autumn/Winter of 2017/2018.

The club would like to say a huge thankyou to everyone who contributed to the night’s success through their generosity, from all the guests, to the sponsors, from those who donated auction lots and raffle prizes, to the helpers who set up and took down everything for the Ball; with special thanks to XT Brewery, Aston Hearing, CPM and Travelodge.
