Second Team Archive

2021

The 2nd XI played a full COVID-interruption free season in the Cherwell Cricket League Division 3. After losing just 1 of the first 9 games, Thame were in the hunt for promotion in what was a very tight fight at the top. Stuttering form towards the end of the season meant that going into the final match the 2s could gain promotion to Division 2 with a win, but 4 other teams were also in with a shout. A gutting defeat on the final day to Minster Lovell meant that they went up at Thame’s expense.

Oli Sutcliffe was the Second XI captain this season. Matt Furness won the batting award, and Greg Jenkins won the bowling award.
